Doyle Gets an Applause

The legend, Doyle Brunson, just entered the poker room on his way to the seven-card stud event. Upon entering, Brunson received a warm welcome and applause from some of the women in the tournament. Other women began to whisper to each other and turn their heads to see Doyle. Must be good to be the king.

Shirley Williams moved all in for her remaining 1,150 chips from early position. The action folded to the small blind, who made the call. The big blind folded.

Williams: {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Clubs} {A-Spades}

The aces held up and Williams will have to wait for another tournament for glory.

Sarah Bilney Draws Slim

The flop was {9-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {6-Clubs} and Sarah Bilney moved all in with a flush draw with the {K-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}. An opponent called her with a better flush draw, {A-Clubs} {4-Clubs}. Bilney knew she was drawing slim. The turn and river were both kings and lucky for Bilney, she was able to eliminate her opponent.

Elizabeth Sissom Eliminated

Kings cracked!
Kings cracked!
The UTG player raised, Elizabeth Sissom moved the rest of her chips in preflop from late position and was called. Sissom's {K-Spades} {K-Diamonds} was a favorite over the UTG player's {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}, but an {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {9-Diamonds} flop turned those percentages around. The turn was the {A-Spades}, and the river was a particularly cruel {K-Hearts}, making Sissom kings full of aces, bested by her opponent's aces full of queens.

Rousso Sends Wroblewski to the Rail

Anna Wroblewski and Vanessa Rousso have been battling all day since moving to the same table. The players had another action pot when the board read K-6-3-K-7. Rousso put all her money in on the river and Wroblewski said, "I know you have sixes, or sevens, or K-Q, or whatever... but I call."

Rousso turned over 6-6 for a full house and has eliminated Wroblewski. Rousso has 5,200 in chips.
