Bloch and Madsen Scooped

Andy Bloch and Jeff Madsen have just been scooped leaving them with 8,300 and 425 respectively.

After three limpers, including Bloch, Madsen raised from the bottom with {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and was called by all three players. When the flop came {3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs} Madsen raised a bet from the middle-position player and was called by all three players.

When the turned peeled the {A-Spades} he again lead for 400 and was called round. However with the {4-Clubs} dropping on the river the flop aggressor from middle position lead this time for 400 and was met with a call from Bloch and Madsen.

Bloch tabled {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for twp pair and a seven low, while Madsen had a better two pair, a six low and a missed straight flush draw. However their opponents hand was too good for both the Full Tilt pros as he scooped the pot with {2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for the nut low and second-nut high.

New Chip Leader

We have a new chip leader in the Omaha-8 tournament. Sitting on the right of Victor Ramdin, Matthew Glantz has recently ticked over the 16,000 mark which is three times the average stack.

Glantz is most well known for his third-place finish in this year's Event #8 - World Championship Mixed Event last week for over $180,000.

Chip Leaders

Morgan - Current Chip Leader

As we commence the fifth level we still see that pros are dominating the leaderboard, with Full Tilt's Jordan "iMsoLucky0" Morgan, 13,700, and John Juanda, 12,300, leading the way.

Much to His Chagrin...

... Phil Hellmuth has been eliminated from Event #16.

A player in middle position limped into the pot, Mike Wattel and Manny Minaya joined the party, and Hellmuth put in a raise. All three opponents called.

The flop brought {A-Spades} {9-Clubs} {K-Clubs}. Action was checked around to Hellmuth, and he made a bet. The first player folded, and Wattel raised it, putting Hellmuth all in. The two players showed down their hands:

Hellmuth: {A-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {9-Spades}
Wattel: {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {10-Spades}

The turn and river came {4-Diamonds}, {Q-Spades}, failing to improve Hellmuth and sending him to the rail. Wattel, meanwhile, is up to 10,000.

Pro Domination

As we reach the end of level four, and a consequential break, we are starting to see that alot of the pros are dominating both their tables and the field.

This is most evident in our chip leaders as they include:

John Juanda 11,400
Michael "the Grinder" Mizrachi 10,400
David Chiu 10,200

Jesus Sent Walking

Chris "Jesus" Ferguson was crippled in a pot with three other players. On a high-card board, Ferguson was unable to make a hand, and his three opponents each made a king-high straight and chopped up his money. He was eliminated on the very next hand.

Schneider Eliminated

Tom Schneider Eliminated
Tom Schneider Eliminated
Early chip leader Tom Schneider has just been eliminated by Larry Brill.

After starting the hand fairly short with around 2,000 in chips, there was heavy betting on a board reading {4-Spades}{5-Spades}{Q-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} with Schneider eventually getting all of his chips into the pot.

When the hand was over Schneider showed A-A-2-8 for aces up and a busted nut-low draw, while Brill tabled A-A-4-7 for trip fours and the claim to fame of busting 2007 Player of the Year Tom Schneider.
