Jones made the nuts when the board came {K-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} . Rutledge Cracks Aces to Double Up

On the second hand back from break, James Akenhead opened from under the gun for 80,000. Joe Rutledge moved all in. Action folded back to Akenhead who snap-called with pocket aces. Rutledge showed {K-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}.

A flop of {K-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {9-Spades} gave Rutledge some life. He didn't improve on the {5-Clubs} turn. As the river came down, Rutledge pleaded, "King or a jack!" and was rewarded with the {K-Spades}. "Yeah!" he shouted, clapping his hands and walking in circles. He leaned over the rail to a nearby table in a different tournament and added "I just cracked aces with king-jack!"

Akenhead drops to about 1.3 million chips. Rutledge is up to about 900,000.

Aaron Coulthard Takes a Pot from Ferguson

Chris Ferguson raised to 90,000 from the button. Aaron Coulthard called from the big blind and the two took a flop heads up. It came down {J-Hearts} {9-Spades} {5-Diamonds} and Coulthard checked. Ferguson bet 160,000 and Coulthard made the call. The turn brought the {9-Hearts} and both men checked. When the {6-Spades} hit the river, Coulthard declared "all in." He had Ferguson well covered and after thinking a bit, Jesus reluctantly let the hand go.

Grant Hinkle Doubles through Melvin Jones

Action folded around to Melvin Jones on the button and he raised to 100,000. Grant Hinkle called from the big blind and they went heads up to a flop of {A-Spades} {9-Hearts} {3-Clubs} . Hinkle checked and Jones asked how much Hinkle had behind. Hinkle counted it out and it was roughly 230,000. Jones counted out 230,000 and slid it out. Hinkle declared "all in." After a count, it was determined it was a total of 239,000. Jones insta-called the additional 9,000 and said "You got me, man. You got me with that ace." Hinkle flipped up {A-Clubs} {6-Clubs} and Jones shyly tabled {K-Clubs} {J-Clubs}. The turn and river came the {Q-Diamonds} and {2-Hearts} respectively, and Hinkle doubled up to roughly 700,000. Jones slips to about 1,300,000.
