Kathy Liebert Chips Up

After calling a 850 raise from the cutoff, Kathy Liebert and an opponent saw a {5-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {10-Spades} flop. The original raiser bet 1,700 and Liebert raised to 4400. She got the call and both players checked the {4-Spades} on the turn. When the {A-Spades} fell on the river, the other player check-called Liebert's 6,000 bet. Liebert turned over {4-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} for the turned set and took down a pot that boosted her stack to 24,750.

Mario Silvestri Busts Phil Laak

Over the course of three rapid-fire hands Mario Silvestri availed himself of Phil Laak's chips. A 4,500 reraise after Laak opened the pot was the first cut, in the next hand Laak called a Silvestri reraise only to lay it down after Mario bet 2,000, and on the last hand Laak moved in for his last 1,050 and as Silvestri thought it over Laak said, "C'mon, you played every hand with me, you gotta at least call."

Silvestri did call and his pocket sevens help up against Laak's {Q-Spades} {4-Hearts} to take the pot and eliminate Laak.

Jacob Climbs Up

Alex Jacob, who's chipstack had dwindled earlier in the day, has managed to climb back out from under 10,000 chips and has amassed a nice stack of 45,000.

Most recently Jacob was seen eliminating a player when his pocket aces held up against a flopped open-ended straight draw.
