Table of Death

Table 48 has developed into a table to watch with a very impressive lineup featuring Marco Traniello, Jens Voertmann, Max Pescatori, James Mackey, Ted Forrest, Michael Binger and Steve Zolotow!

Pescatori, Forrest and Zolotow are currently involved in a discussion with the tournament staff regarding the start of the $2,500 Pot-Limit Hold'em/Omaha which commenced at 5 p.m. out in the Brasilia Room of the Rio. They want the tournament staff to let them know the last possible minute that they can buy-in to that event, so that if/when they bust out of today's H.O.R.S.E event they can run over there and jump straight into the new event!

To add some more spice to the mix, the now 3-time WSOP bracelet winner Mike Matusow has just dropped by the table to have a chat.

Chop It Up

Stud-8:

Todd Brunson, Kevin Saul, Hani Awad, and Leo Fernandez were just involved in a big 4 way pot.

On fifth street, Saul bet out showing {4-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}. Awad folded his hand and Fernandez raised with a board showing {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {J-Hearts} . Brunson and Saul both call.

Sixth Street:

Brunson: {2-Clubs} {3-Spades} {8-Hearts} {7-Spades}
Saul: {4-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds}
Fernandez: {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {7-Clubs}

Saul checked to Fernandez, who bet. Both Brunson and Awad call.

On seventh street, Saul and Fernandez both checked and Brunson bet out. Saul folded and Fernandez made the call. Brunson showed ({5-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {J-Spades}) for a seven low. Fernandez showed ({K-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {4-Clubs}) for kings up.

After the hand, Brunson moved up to 39,000 and Fernandez moved up to 41,000

Michael Binger Multi-Tabling!

Michael Binger has been multi-tabling here in the Amazon Room between his table here in the H.O.R.S.E event and his table in Day 1 of the $2,000 No Limit Holdem across the room.

When we asked him if he had considered also playing the $2,500 Pot Limit Holdem/Omaha event which kicked off at 5 p.m. he told us that if he busted out of either of the other two events that he indeed was going to buy in to that event also!

It's going to be a busy day for Michael Binger!

Rob Amereno Crippled

Omaha-8:

On a board showing {A-?} {K-?} {7-?} {A-?} , Jennifer Harman check-raised Rob Amareno. Amereno made the call. When an {8-?} fell on the turn, Harman bet out and Amereno called.

Harman showed {A-?} {7-?} {4-?} {9-?} for aces full and Amareno looked disgusted as he showed {K-?} {K-?} {2-?} {9-?} for kings full.

Harman is up to 78,000 and Amereno is down to 3,000.

'Dgang' = Chip Leader

Doug 'Dgang' Ganger has stormed through the field today and after some recent pots, holds a sizeable chip lead over the field.

Ganger recently became the first to pass the 100,000 chip barrier and currently sits with 126,000. The next best in chips would be Jennifer Harman who has recently moved up to about 90,000.

Play Slows

Play is beginning to slow down a bit as we start to circle the money. 26 need to be eliminated before we reach the money.
