More Than a Double

Greg 'FBT' Mueller managed to more than double up just before the break.

There was a raise before Mueller moved all in for 15,100. A call behind scared the intial raiser into folding {A-?} {Q-?}, or so he claimed.

Mueller was holding {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} to his opponent's {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs}.

The board was {K-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {2-Spades} {10-Clubs} {9-Clubs}.

Mueller back up to 38,000 now.

Back from Break

The players have returned from break. In the first hour of play we lost 75 players. The remaining 149 will be playing with the blinds at 1000-2000 with a 300 ante. While on break tournament staff colored up most of the black chips to help the dealers with the frequent all-in chip counts.

Wild Weston

From under the gun Lionel Lefevre moved all in before the even shorter stacked Bill Weston called all in from the next seat. All others folded so we're heads up.

Lefevre tables {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}
Weston tables {8-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}

No two outer comes and Weston is out.

Lefevre up to 50,000.

Big Pot Action

We approach the table and the turn has just been dealt so the board reads {8-Clubs} {6-Spades} {8-Hearts} {2-Hearts} .

Albert Iverson is in the small blind and leads out for 15,000. Benjamin Zamani is in the big blind and makes the call.

The river comes {10-Diamonds}. Iverson looks up and says 'I'll put Ben all in'.

The bet is 59,500 and Ben snap-calls with {10-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} for a full house.

Albert shows an unlucky {9-Clubs} {8-Spades}

Zamani takes down the huge pot and is up to 180,000. Albert down to 53,000.

Jean-Robert on $1500 Tournaments

Jean-Robert Bellande loves $1500 tournaments. After he limped in middle position with {8-?} {9-?}, the small blind limped with {K-?} {K-?} and the big blind checked his {A-?} {K-?}. After flopping two pair Bellande was able to take down the sizable pot and couldn't help but let the whole room know about it.

"Gotta love $1500 entry tournaments," shouted Bellande.

Bellande has over 110,000 in chips.

Nasty River For Channing

Neil Channing
Neil Channing
Neil Channing just walked up with his exit ticket looking a bit glum. He explained he got involved in a hand he couldn't really get away from.

There was a raise to 5,500 and call so he was priced into calling from the big blind with {K-Clubs} {9-Clubs}.

He flopped a flush and only got action from the intial raiser who was holding {A-Clubs} {Q-?}.

The turn brought no club but did offer a gutshot opportunity for Channing's opponent as the board contained a {10-?} and a {J-?}.

The killer {4-Clubs} came on the river to make the nut flush for him but Channing doesn't know this and is already well committed to the pot so pushes his last chips in and doesn't like what he sees when the call comes.

This year's Irish Open champion leaves the room dejected.
