Schoenberg Trips

On a board of {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} the player in the small blind led out with a bet of 500 before Erica Schoenberg raised it up from the big blind to 1,200. The small blind made the call.

The river was the {K-Spades} and Schoenberg fired another 1,200 which was quickly called. Schoenberg flipped {J-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for trips but her opponent had {10-Clubs}{8-Spades} for the straight to take the pot.

Schoenberg is now at 5,500 chips.

Tilly Early Leader

Jennifer Tilly has been very active early, eliminating several players. She recently claimed another victim when her {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} held against her opponent's {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts} on a board of {3-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} with all the chips in preflop.

Tilly is our early chip leader with over 20,000 chips.

An Interesting Hand

A hand just developed where three players were all in holding pairs. One was holding {2-Spades} {2-Diamonds} , another was holding {4-Diamonds} {4-Hearts}, and another was holding {K-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}. The flop came {2-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {4-Spades}, which gave two of the opponents sets. The turn was the {2-Clubs} which gave quads to the holder of the pocket deuces. To make matters worse, the {K-Clubs} fell on the river to give the holder of the pocket kings a full house.

After the hand, another player commented, "Live poker is so rigged. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that."

Jennifer Tilly Busts Another - Breaks Game

A player in the cutoff position went all in against Jennifer Tilly on a flop of {9-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}. Tilly made the call with {Q-Spades} {10-Spades} . Her opponent showed {Q-Diamonds} {J-Hearts}. The turn of the {3-Hearts} and the river of the {2-Diamonds} missed both players and Tilly extends her chip lead to 33,000.

After the hand, the table had to stop playing due to the fact that they only had six players left at the table. The floorman came by and said that they were breaking a table so that they could continue playing.

David Singer went over to Tilly while they were waiting and asks, "So, what's your strategy at the final table?"
