Sebastian Segovia Eliminated in Ninth Place ($ 39,523)

Sebastian Segovia - 9th Place
Sebastian Segovia - 9th Place
Sebastian Segovia raised from middle position to 49,000. It was folded around to John Phan who made a verbal raise to around 130,000, which was enough to put Segovia all in. Before Phan could put his chips in the pot Matt Vengrin pushed a stack of 25,000 chips into the middle to reraise Phan. The raise was 363,000 more than Phan's raise. Segovia called instantly. Phan went into the tank with a smirk on his face. He looked over at Vengrin, shook his head and tapped the table before mucking his cards.

Vengrin: {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}
Segovia: {A-Spades} {K-Hearts}

Board: {7-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}

Segovia becomes our ninth-place finisher. He takes home $39,523 for his efforts.

After the hand, Segovia hung around the PokerNews booth for a couple of minutes. He said, "I pretty much had to go there. It was a good pot if I could have won it. What can I do?"
