Thuyen Doan Eliminated in 7th Place ($69,165)

Thuyen Doan - 7th Place and last woman standing
Thuyen Doan - 7th Place and last woman standing
Thuy Doan moved all in on the button for 260,000. John Phan in the small blind made the call.

Doan: {6-Spades} {6-Hearts}
Phan: {A-Hearts} {J-Clubs}

The flop put Phan solidly in the lead when the board came {J-Spades} {3-Clubs} {5-Hearts} . Only one of the remaining sixes in the deck would help Doan. The turn of the {A-Spades} gave Phan two pair and the river card of the {4-Diamonds} sent Thuy Doan out of this event in 7th place.

Doan was the last woman eliminated from today's event. She proved that she isn't just a good female poker player, but a good overall poker player. It will be interesting to see what she does in future events at this year's World Series.
