When Steve Zolotow got back, Sam showed him his third straight hand of pocket aces. He's flopped two sets with them already, twice against Steve Zolotow, and for his third time with them in a row he ran into pocket jacks, which managed to turn a set against him.
"I've got the usual again," he said once Steve returned to the table.
So much for the saying 'third time's the charm'...
Down, Then Up
Her fold proved wise when she was able to double up a few hands later when she committed the last of her chips with and flopped a queen against an opponent holding pocket tens. She's now back up to 4,400.
