Hand #8-- Jeff Williams Eliminates Michael Binger in Seventh Place ($101,293)

Michael Binger
Michael Binger
It was folded around to Michael Binger in the small blind, and he moved all in for 156,000. Jeff Williams, as always, thought things over for a bit before making the call.

The hands were:

Binger: {A-Spades} {J-Clubs}
Williams: {K-Diamonds} {8-Hearts}

The flop came {K-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {6-Spades}, giving Williams top pair and Binger an inside straight draw. The turn was the {6-Clubs}, no help to Binger, and the river was the {8-Diamonds}, sealing Binger's fate. He finishes in seventh place, good for $101,293.

Hand #7-- Jonathan Aguiar

It was folded to Michael Banducci on the button and he raised to 45,000. Johathan Aguiar moved in from the small blind, and after Michael Binger folded, Banducci followed suit.

Crowd Goes Wild

Predictably, with the first major hand containing three all-ins, the crowd here inside the ESPN Final Table area went a little crazy. Fans of Lyric Duveyoung were shouting "Jack! Throw a jack!" while fans of Rosen were yelling "Ace!" at the top of their lungs.

The crowd, which had been on its feet after the all-in announcement, grew awkwardly silent after seeing a bland flop consisting of {3-Spades} {9-Spades} {10-Hearts}, with many attempting to see if it offered up any possibilities besides the obvious.

The atmosphere is certainly different after a double elimination, and as we continue seven-handed.

Hand #5-- Lyric Duveyoung Eliminates Steve Gross (9th place, $57,881) and Jamie Rosen (8th place, $79,587)

It was folded around to Steve Gross who moved all in for his last 104,000, and then Jamie Rosen also moved all in for 420,000. Jeff Williams then asked for a count of Rosen's chips before tossing his cards in. Lyric Duveyoung thought a good while before moving all in for over 600,000 as well. Here are the hands:

Gross: {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs}
Rosen: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}
Duveyoung: {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}

The flop came {3-Spades} {9-Spades} {10-Hearts}, giving Gross a pair of tens. The {9-Clubs} hit on the turn, keeping Duveyoung in the lead. The {5-Hearts} on the river helped neither Gross nor Rosen and they were both eliminated, with Gross finishing ninth for $57,881 and Rosen eighth for $79,587 because of their chip positions before the hand.

Hand #4-- Jeff Williams

Jamie Rosen raised to 40,000 and Jeff Williams reraised to 105,000. Alan Jaffray took some time before folding and the action went back to Rosen. He mucked, and Williams took down the pot.

Hand #1-- Jeff Williams

The action was folded around to Lyric Duveyoung who raised to 30,000. It was folded to Jeff Williams in the big blind who called. Both players checked the {J-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {10-Spades} flop, and when the {7-Hearts} turned Williams bet 50,000 and Duveyoung folded.
