Michael Mizrachi leads the way in the PLO finale
The nine-player lineup for the finale of Event 50, the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha World Championship, has been set. Leading the chase tothe bracelet will be Michael Mizrachi, who will start the day with 1,767,000 in chips, nearly half a million more than second-place Brandon Moran.

Here's how the final nine will line up:

We haven't started yet. ESPN has been finalizing all of their camera shots, putting microphones on the players, and doing all of the magical things they need to do to pipe this event into your living room. The players are at the table unbagging their chips right now. Once all of that is complete, and emcee Robbie Thompson introduces each of the players to the assembled crowd, we should be underway. It will probably be another 10 to 15 minutes.

Brandon Moran is a securities trader from Chicago, Illinois. This is his third year playing in the WSOP. He has been playing poker for ten years now, though, and he says he "learned the hard way." Last year, one of his proudest poker moments came when he took co-champion in the Ante Up For Africa charity tournament.

Peter "Apathy" Jetten is with us from Toronto, Ontario. He is a 23-year-old poker pro playing in his third WSOP. Last year, he worked his way to a 23rd place cash in the $5,000 Heads Up World Championship. Peter's best friend, Max Greenwood, won his first bracelet two days ago right here in this very arena, and today Jetten hopes to do the same. He has an tall hill to climb though; he begins play in 7th place with under 500,000 chips.

Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi is 27 years old and resides here in Las Vegas, Nevada with his wife and three children. Over the past four years, The Grinder has notched more than $6,000,000 in earnings, including 17 cashes here at the WSOP. Michael's brother, Robert, won this event last year, and The Grinder hopes to make it back to back for the Mizrachi family. He comes into play with the big stack, hoping to run the table and take home his first gold bracelet.

Billy "The Croc" Argyros is 50 years old and comes to us from Melbourne, Australia. He is an accounts manager, and he picked up poker by playing in the home game of fellow-Aussie Mel Judah. The Croc has been playing cards for 20 years now, and has participated in ten WSOPs. He has five career cashes, but today he hopes to go one better and capture his first gold bracelet.

Greg Hurst has quite a story to tell his friends and family back home in Tazewell, Tennessee. In his first year at the World Series of Poker, he has made a final table in the prestigious $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event. He has one previous final table this year, finishing third in the mixed pot-limit Omaha / pot-limit hold'em event.

There are two Irish players at today's final table. 41-year-old Tom Hanlon is one of them. Originally a bridge player, Hanlon has spent quite a bit of time at the poker table as well. This is his very first final table at the World Series of Poker. He is hoping to avenge an early elimination from this event last year.

Marty Smyth is the other Irish player today's final table. He and Tom Hanlon should have a cheering (and drinking) section to rival any we've seen so far in this year's World Series. Smyth has come to Las Vegas from his home in Belfast. He has been a professional poker player for six years and was the winner of the 2007 Irish Open.
