Event #7 - $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em Final Table

Hello and welcome to our coverage of the 2008 WSOP Event #7 Final Table. We are set up here in the ESPN arena as the room is being prepared for play. Cameras, lights, and mics are being checked and re-checked, and soon the players and spectators alike will file into their seats. We still have some interviews and other housekeeping to get out of the way, but Tournament Director Bill Bruce says he expects to be underway on time at 2:00pm local time.

As we sit here though, we can tell that may not be the case. The chips have not even been un-bagged yet and there are just a couple of our nine players lingering in the tournament area. We do expect to be playing shortly, perhaps just a few minutes late though.

Bear With Us

There seems to be a bit of confusion about the starting time today. The starting time is listed as 2:00 on some documents, and 3:00 on others. Tournament Director Bill Bruce tried to get the ball rolling at 2:00, but it has taken until now to get all the ducks in a row. The players and spectators have been in their seats for more than a half hour and seem relaxed and comfortable. We are just waiting for ESPN to finish preparing their cameras, and we should be in action in the next few moments.

Hand #3 - Matt Keikoan

Alex Bolotin has the button in seat 9. Carter Gill raises to 28,000. Matt Keikoan calls from the small blind and the two go heads up to a flop of {3-Hearts} {4-Spades} {4-Hearts}. Keikoan checks and Gill bets 42,000. Keikoan calls the bet. The turn comes the {8-Diamonds}. Both players check and the {Q-Diamonds} hits the river. Both players check and Keikoan shows {7-?} {7-?} and wins the pot.

Hand #4 - Chris Bjorin

Matt Keikoan has the button in seat 1. Chris Bjorin raises to 37,000. J.C. Tran calls the raise and it's heads up to a flop of {A-Spades} {2-Spades} {K-Clubs}. Bjorin moves all in for roughly 180,000. J.C. Tran thinks a bit and then folds. Chris Bjorin wins the pot.

Hand #5 - Matt Keikoan

Theo Tran has the button in seat 2. J.C. Tran raises to 32,000 from late position. Matt Keikoan reraises to 101,000 from the cutoff seat. The blinds fold, as does Tran and Keikoan wins the pot.
