Doyle Wants to Watch the Game

Laker fan?
Laker fan?
Doyle Brunson has asked the floor supervisor several times if he can change the feed on the flat-screen TV near his table to the Lakers-Celtics game. Typically that wouldn't be too difficult a request to accommodate, only in this case, that particular screen is displaying the clock for this tournament. Even though there are many players still in the field who wouldn't mind losing the clock in favor of the game, Brunson was denied and is now craning his neck to try to get a glimpse of the NBA action on a screen across the room.

The "Big Game" Alive and Well in Event #8

It's just like Bellagio!
It's just like Bellagio!
Amnon Filippi just pointed out to us that several regulars in the Bellagio's "Big Game" are still alive in this tournament, which boasts a rotation of games quite similar to the ones they play in Bobby's Room. Johnny Chan, Eli Elezra, John Hennigan, Minh Ly, Doyle Brunson, Chau Giang, David Oppenheim and Gus Hansen are all still in this thing and their extensive mixed game experience is paying off for them here.

Other high-limit mixed game cash players still playing include Tom Schneider, Andy Bloch, Chad Brown, Ralph Perry, and Mark Vos.
