Gigacrack

A player goes all in preflop and Darrell "Gigabet" Dicken calls. He turns over {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and the opponent has {5-?}{5-?}. The board runs out {J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Spades} and the opponent is out. Gigabet is up to 100,000.

Recovery Ward

Joe Ward opened with a raise to 950 from early position and Adam Katz reraised to 3,050 from middle position. Ward made the call.

They took a flop of {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Ward checked to Katz who fired out 4,500. Ward then check-raised, making it 20,000 to go. Katz thought for a few minutes before laying down his hand as Ward flashed pocket queens.

After some recent losses, Ward is now back to 66,000 with Katz now in trouble on 12,000.

Sick, Sick, Wasicka

Paul Wasicka raises to 825 in the hijack and the small blind calls.

The flop is {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and the small blind checks. Wasicka bets 825 and the small blind raises all in to 7,725.

Wasicka turns to the reporters and says, "Don't write about this one, OK?" He laughs and eventually calls with {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}. The opponent has {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. The turn and river are {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Wasicka busts the player. Wasicka is up to 31,000.

J.J. Eliminated

No Liu-k today
No Liu-k today
J.J. Liu made a raise to 1,025 from under the gun and found a caller on the button before the flop came {5-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

Liu continued with a 2,300 bet before being raised all in. She made the call for her last 8,500 with {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} but was up against {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}.

No help on the turn and river and J.J. Liu is another first day casualty.

"Miami" John Cernuto Eliminated

See ya next year, Miami John
See ya next year, Miami John
A middle position player made an opening raise, Miami John Cernuto moved all in from the button and his opponent called. Cernuto's {K-Clubs} {K-Spades} were up against {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts} and all looked good on the {10-Clubs} {5-Spades} {4-Hearts} flop. The turn was the {6-Spades}, but the {A-Clubs} fell on the river, ending Cernuto's Main Event.

Brave Call

Portered Outa Here
Portered Outa Here
Rep Porter limped from under the gun and then called a raise from Jeremiah Smith in the cutoff.

The flop was checked through, so the board was {9-Clubs} {10-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} at the turn stage.

Smith bet 2,100 when it was checked to him, before facing a 9,100 all-in bet from Porter. Amazingly he made the call with {K-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} and was ahead of his Porter's {7-Clubs} {8-Clubs}.

The river came {5-Spades} meaning a pair of nines with a king kicker played to eliminate another player. Smith on 93,000 right now.

Fortin Sportin' Big Stack

A player on the button open-raised to 1,200, Patrick Fortin reraised to 5,000 from the big blind, and the button pushed all in with to 10,000 total. Fortin called.

Fortin had {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} to his opponent's {A-Spades}{10-Spades}. The flop was {Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Fortin was still ahead. The turn was the {10-Diamonds}, and now he was behind. But the {8-Diamonds} on the river gave Fortin the straight and knocked out his opponent.

Fortin is currently at the top of the chip counts with 125,000.
