Vanessa Rousso Eliminated

So long, farewell...
So long, farewell...
Vanessa Rousso and another short stack got all their chips in preflop in an attempt to move up the leaderboard and get back in this. Rousso held {7-Clubs} {7-Spades} and was in good shape against her opponent's {A-Clubs} {6-Spades}.

That was until the board came {5-Clubs} {4-Spades} {10-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {2-Hearts}, crippling her to 8,000.

Shortly after she was eliminated by the same player. She had {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} to his {Q-Spades} {4-Spades}. A queen on the turn sealed the deal.

Pat on the Back

Pat Pezzin and a player in early position saw a {3-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {7-Spades} flop before all the chips went in. Pezzin was holding {3-Hearts} {3-Clubs} for middle set but his opponent had {7-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} for top set.

The turn {8-Spades} and river {6-Hearts} changed nothing meaning Pezzin is eliminated just in the money.

Juan Hernandez Eliminated

Just after beginning play, Juan Hernandez was able to double up to around 30,000, but a couple of hands later, he was all in for his tournament life again. This time, he was unable to double up and therefore has been eliminated from this Main Event.

After the hand, Hernandez went around and shook several players' hands. A lot of players actually came up to him and shook his hand, clearly showing their appreciation for his time with them.

Hernandez seemed very happy with his finish and has probably been one of the least disappointed bust-outs today.

Louie Esposito Doubles

Esposito in Day 1d
Esposito in Day 1d
Louie Esposito and Devin Porter check a flop of {2-Spades}{6-Spades}{Q-Spades}. On the turn of {4-Hearts}, Porter bets and Louie calls. On a river of {A-Hearts}, Porter bets 17,000 and Louie raises all in. Porter calls and shows {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}, but Louie has {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. He's at 220,000.

The Richardson's Get Richer

On a flop of {2-Spades} {4-Spades} {2-Clubs}, Adam Richardson raised all in and was called by a middle-position player. Richardson's opponent only had 25,000 left.

Richardson held {K-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} and his opponent held {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds}.

The turn fell the {Q-Diamonds} and river the {6-Hearts} and Richardson moved up to 204,000 in chips.
