Peter Hedlund and Jason McCarty Eliminated

Jose Baeza limped in from UTG, Peter Hedlund limped from the cutoff, Jason McCarty raised to 18,000 from the small blind, Baeza called, Hedlund reraised to 40,000 leaving himself a single 1,000 chip behind, McCarty called all in and Baeza called.

On the {4-Spades} {3-Hearts} {2-Spades} flop, Hedlund's last 1,000 chip was tossed into the middle and Baeza callled.

Baeza {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs}

Hedlund {9-Diamonds} {9-Spades}

McCarty {K-Hearts} {4-Hearts}

The turn was the {6-Spades}, the river was the {8-Diamonds} and Baeza's aces held up to eliminate both McCarty and Hedlund. He's now up to 310,000.

Lisa Parsons Makes the Right Choice

With the board showing {2-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {J-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} Justin Scott bet enough to set Lisa Parsons all in. She went into the tank trying to decide whether to call for her tournament life, and at one point during her deliberations a cocktail server came over and tapped her on the shoulder as her coffee was delievered.

She thought a bit more and then finally committed her chips to the pot. "Good call," Scott said as he turned over {6-Hearts} {9-Spades}. Parsons leapt out of her seat and slammed her {K-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} down on the felt as she won the pot and doubled up.

Naimark's Survival Short-Lived

After doubling up to start the day, David Naimark pushed all in again for 89,000 chips over the top of an early-position raise from Frankie O'Dell. Karle Wilson called from the big blind, as did O'Dell, giving Naimark a chance to triple up.

On a flop of {7-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {k-Diamonds}, Wilson decided he had seen enough and pushed all in. O'Dell quickly folded, allowing Wilson to show Naimark the bad news:

Wilson: {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs}
Naimark: {9-Spades} {9-Diamonds}

The turn and river came {2-Spades} {7-Spades}. Each player made a full house, but Wilson's was better. Naimark is eliminated.

Pedersen Backs Into One

Helge Pedersen limped in, Matt Matros raised to 14,000 from late position, and it folded back around to Pedersen who called.

The flop came {J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Pedersen checked, Matros bet 21,000, and Pedersen called. Both checked the {Q-Hearts} turn. The river came the {10-Clubs}. This time Pedersen bet 45,000, and Matros called.

Pedersen showed pocket nines for the rivered straight, beating Matros' pocket kings. Pedersen is up to 625,000, while Matros is now just under 700,000.

Kirill Gerasimov Eliminated

Gus Hansen raised to 16,500 from under the gun. Danny Mitnick, from middle position, reraised to 46,500 and Kirill Gerasimov pushed all in for roughly 115,000 from the cutoff seat. Hansen folded but Mitnick made the call and the players showed:

Mitnick: {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}
Gerasimov: {K-Spades} {K-Diamonds}

Gerasimov went into the flop with a dominant position but couldn't win after it came {A-Clubs} {A-Spades} {10-Hearts}. He was eliminated and Mitnick chipped up to about 400,000 on the hand.

Raymond the Next to Go

Saide Raymond has been eliminated from play, courtesy of Nikolay Losev. We didn't see the preflop action, but Losev showed {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds} and needed to dodge an ace after Raymond opened {A-Spades} {9-Hearts} from the small blind. He did just that when the board ran out {10-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {7-Clubs}.

Chris Crilly Doubles Up

On a flop of {Q-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} Chris Crilly got the remainder of his stack in the middle holding {A-Spades} {A-Hearts} vs Steven Landfish with {8-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} for straight and flush draws. The turn was the {2-Spades}, the river was the {9-Spades} and Crilly doubled up to 846,000.

Feurle's Fury

Markus Feurle just eliminated two players on successive hands.

On the first, Feurle had Bob Bright all in preflop. Bright had {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}, and Feurle {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}. The board came {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts}{K-Hearts}, and Bright was out.

On the second, Mike Wattel raised all in from middle position, and Feurle called from the button. Wattel had pocket fives, while this time Feurle had pocket nines. The board blanked out for Wattel and now he's out. Feurle now has 510,000.

Bad Time To Hit That Set

After a {7-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {4-Hearts} flop Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier bet to 18,000 and Charalampos Tsaoussis moved all in for his last 70,000. Grospellier made the call with {8-Clubs} {8-Spades} to Tsaoussis' {5-Clubs} {5-Hearts} and open-ended straight draw. The {10-Spades} on the turn didn't change the status quo but the {8-Hearts} on the river that gave Grospellier the set also gave Tsaoussis his straight and he doubled up to 190,000. ElkY is down to 178,000.
