Shuffle Up and Deal

After the usual reminders regarding not taking chips off the table, avoiding excessive celebration, and other rules of play, country recording star Andy Griggs came on to perform his new song "It's All About the Money," accompanying himself on acoustic guitar.

"Contrary to that song, it's all about the bracelet, too... and tradition," said WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack. He then introduced a new WSOP tradition, the awarding of final table jackets to everyone who made a final table at this summer's series.

Tournament Director Jack Effel ended the preliminaries by following another tradition, ordering the dealers to "Shuffle up and deal!"
