The Greek Accumulating

Archie Karas, during Event #14
Archie Karas, during Event #14
Archie "The Greek" Karas is another notable player in today's field and he recently took down a couple of nice pots.

In the first hand he fired bets on the flop and turn, before checking the river on a board of {10-Spades}{K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Karas showed down {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} to scoop the pot.

A few minutes later, he raised preflop, before betting the flop and turn on a board of {5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. His opponent couldn't stand the heat and folded his hand.

It's great to see Archie playing today and it will be fascinating to watch how deep he can go. He's off to a good start, as he heads to the break with about 26,000 chips.
