Sets A'plenty

Just before break, we witnessed a hand between Matt Flynn and Brandon Schaefer. Preflop, Schaefer was the raiser, making it 800 to go from under the gun. Flynn was his only customer, and he made the call from the big blind.

The flop rolled out {10-Spades} {2-Hearts} {9-Clubs} and both players checked.

Fourth street brought the {A-Spades}. Flynn checked and let Schaefer bet 1,500. He then came back with a check-raise to 4,500, prompting Schaefer to reraise to 11,000. Flynn moved all in and Schaefer made the instant call. With no further betting, the hands were turned up:

Flynn: {10-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}
Schaefer: {A-Clubs} {A-Hearts}

The river was a useless {8-Spades}, and Schaefer took down a big pot with set over set. He is up to 61,000 while Flynn is left with 40,000.

After the hand, tablemate Marco Marcom told the players that he folded {2-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} before the flop and that he, "Would have gone broke," had he seen the flop. Nice laydown for Marcom.
