Joe Hachem Has Been Eliminated

Joe Hachem
Joe Hachem
And a sick little hand it was. The player under the gun raised to 3,000 and three other players called before it got to Hachem in the big blind. He made the call and the five players saw a {5-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {2-Spades} flop. Hachem moved in for his last 13,000, the original raiser called, and another player shoved for his last 29,400. The original raiser called and his {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs} was pitted against Hachem's flush draw with {J-Clubs} {6-Clubs} and the other player's...{Q-Clubs} {Q-Spades}.

And it was one good turn for that player as the {Q-Hearts} spiked to give him a set and the lead. With the crowd gathered close around the table calling for a club, the river brought the {J-Hearts} instead, and Hachem was eliminated. Had the player with queens reraised before the flop, Hachem doesn't call and doesn't go broke. But he didn't, and Joe did. And so the Main Event is over for the 2005 World Champion.
