On a flop of , Robert McLaughlin checked, Beth Shak checked, and Paul Spitzberg bet 8,000. McLaughlin folded, and Shak asked how many were left before the bubble burst. Two, came the reply. She called the bet, roughly half her stack.
The turn came the , Shak pushed all in, and Spitzberg called. Shak showed for the heart flush, and Spitzberg for top two. The came on the river, giving Spitzberg the boat and eliminating Shak just shy of the money.
Now we are playing hand for hand until the bubble bursts.
A player limped in middle position, and Carter "ckingusc" King limped as well from the button. The small blind thought a while, then decided to fold. Then the big blind player did something unusual, but we'll get to that in a moment.
The flop came and it checked around to King who bet 3,100. The player in the big blind then slowly slid out three stacks of yellow chips -- a check-raise to 15,000.
The dealer then politely slid them back to the player. "You don't have a hand," he explained. Apparently he had inadvertently mucked his hand rather than simply checking his option. The MP player folded, and the table had a good laugh, wondering whether or not he could've gotten the others to fold without cards.
With 118 players left, that means we have 14 tables' worth. Lots of people standing up and stretching as they wait for every table to finish one hand. It is currently taking about 3-5 minutes to get through each hand.
Andrew Lichtenberger raised to 6,000 from middle position, and Alex Keating called from the big blind. The flop came and both checked. Both also checked the on the turn.
The river was the . Lichtenberger checked, Keating bet 10,000, and Lichtenberger instantly called, saying "tens" as he turned over .
Two players eliminated on the same hand, so both will be splitting 117th place prize money. (That means Beth Shak was the last player eliminated not to cash, as she was ousted in 119th.)
First, Brandon Schaefer was all in with versus a player holding , and when the board came , Schaefer was eliminated.
Then, Christian Dillon was eliminated in a hand versus Alan Keating when his ace-high fell to Keating's pair of fours.
Both Schaefer and Dillon get $2,464.50 for their efforts -- a few bucks shy of the buy-in.
