It's Limit Hold'em

One of our reporters was walking through the field when a player shouted, "Hey PokerNews guy, I'm about even!" pertaining to his chip stack.

Greg "FBT" Mueller then yelled out, "So is everyone else in the room, it's limit hold'em."

Welcome to Event #14!

Welcome to Event #14, $2,500 Six-handed Limit Hold'em. We're set to begin here in just around 20 minutes from now. This is the first limit hold'em event on the schedule for the 2009 WSOP and it's going to be interesting to see who shows up. many of the big names are still playing the $10,000 Mixed World Championship while a lot of the top online pros are playing the no-limit hold'em event that began earlier today. Due to this, the field may be a little softer than normal and give everyone a more level playing field. As always, we'll let you know who's here when the tournament gets underway.

Last year, there was no version of a six-handed limit hold'em tournament, making this the first of its kind. Players will begin today with 7,500 chips and each level will last one hour. Today's play will conclude after level eight is complete.

Stay tuned for all the action!
