Greenstein In Trouble

Barry Greenstein is on life support after re-raising an under the gun player preflop, and firing two streets, before checking down the river on a board of {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{J-Diamonds}.

His opponent tabled {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for top pair which was good as Greenstein mucked. He's down to just 5,200 chips.

Wong Gets It Right

Catching the action on the flop of {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, in a battle of the blinds, Fu Wong check-raised the bet from his opponent Raphael Zimmerman, however Zimmerman put in the three-bet and Wong made the call.

Wong led out with a bet with Zimmerman making the call on the {3-Hearts} turn, and again on the {3-Spades} river.

Wong tabled {Q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for top pair to take it down. He's up to 64,000.

Lex Veldhuis, during Day 1 action
Lex Veldhuis, during Day 1 action
Lex "RaSZi" Veldhuis raised it up preflop to 2,400 and Barry Greenstein defended his big blind.

They saw a flop of {7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Greenstein check-raised the bet of Veldhuis who made a quick call.

The turn brought the {A-Spades} and Greenstein fired out a bet. Veldhuis made the call and the {10-Clubs} fell on the river. Greenstein put on the brakes and checked but was happy to call the river bet of Veldhuis. However Greenstein couldn't better the {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} of Veldhuis who took it down to leave Greenstein on the short stack with just 12,000 chips.

Don't Make Me Get Buch In Here!

Eric Buchman
Eric Buchman
An under-the-gun player raised and then action folded to Eric Buchman in the small blind. Buchman made it three bets to go and the original raisier called.

The flop contained the {J-Spades} {9-Hearts} {3-Hearts}. Buchman bet and his opponent called. Buchman then fired another bet on the turn card of the {7-Spades} and his opponent called. After the river fell the {A-Spades}, both players checked.

"A nine." announced Buchman, showing {10-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}. His opponent nodded his head and mucked. Buchman is now up to 67,000 chips.

For those of you that don't know Eric Buchman, he is a regular limit grinder in some of the biggest cash games at The Borgata and Mohegan Sun on the East Coast. Buchman can often be found capping the action with the likes of Matt Glantz and Nick Frangos. Buchman also has nearly $1 million in career tournament earnings.

Chop Chop

Our current chip leader Franklin Kline Jr. raised from the cutoff before Jimmy Tran popped it up on the button. The blinds folded and Kline called to see a flop of {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}.

Kline checked to Tran who fired a bet with Kline making the call. They checked the {8-Spades} turn, before the {9-Hearts} landed on the river to present an interesting board. Kline checked to Tran who tried to take it down with a bet, but Kline called him down.

Kline only had {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs} but both players were playing the board as Tran flipped {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}. Chop it up!
