Kravchenko Drawn and Quartered

Alex Kravchenko raised from the cutoff seat, and Daniel Alaei reraised out of the small blind. Kravchenko called, and it was heads up from here on out.

The board ran down {K-Spades} {8-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {J-Diamonds}, with Alaei betting and Kravchenko calling on each street. In the end, Kravchenko tabled {A-Spades} {A-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {9-Clubs} against Alaei's {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {5-Spades}. The two men shared the high half of the pot with their matching pairs of aces. Unfortunately for Kravchenko, he had no low to go with his black aces, and he was only good for one quarter of the pot.

Koral Takes One Off Ivey

Tom Koral raised from UTG before Phil Ivey three bet. Koral called so we went to a {Q-Spades} {4-Clubs} {10-Clubs} flop. Koral check-called Ivey's bet and did the same thing on the {10-Diamonds} turn. They both checked the {2-Diamonds} river and Koral took the lot with {A-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {2-Hearts}.

Koral -- 195,000
Ivey -- 90,000

Guth Hits the Wahlbeck

After a preflop raising war with Ville Wahlbeck (a bad man to get in a raising war with), John Guth ended up committing his final 40,000 chips to the pot, and he was at risk of elimination.

Showdown
Guth: {A-Spades} {3-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {6-Clubs}
Wahlbeck: {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {5-Spades}

The community cards came {K-Spades} {10-Spades} {8-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {9-Spades}. Wahlbeck's aces held up, taking down the whole pot. Failing to make a low, John Guth has been shown the door with 30 players remaining.

Second and Third for the Finn

Ville Wahlbeck raised from early position and Phil Hellmuth called as he did on every street when the Finn bet. The finished board was {Q-Spades} {8-Hearts} {7-Spades} {K-Hearts} {9-Spades}. Wahlbeck rivered a flush with {A-Spades} {2-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} and took the pot.

On a side note Hellmuth is complaining that his current dealer isn't separating his hands properly after he cuts the deck. Hellmuth has been known to complain about this before but it's always when he's on a losing streak!

The very next hand Wahlbeck eliminated the last Dutchman standing in Rob Hollink.

Wahlbeck -- 310,000
Hellmuth -- 175,000.

Bjorin Gazes at One Quarter

Bill Gazes opened with a raise, and Chris Bjorin reraised from the cutoff seat. Phil Ivey called in the big blind, and Bill Gazes made the call as well, the extra bet putting him all in.

The board came out {8-Spades} {J-Spades} {5-Spades} {3-Spades} {3-Diamonds}. Ivey bet the flop, and Bjorin called. Both players checked fourth street, and Ivey led back out on the river. When Bjorin put in a raise though, Ivey heard the music and saved himself the extra bet.

Showdown
Bjorin: {A-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {7-Diamonds}
Gazes: {A-Spades} {2-Spades} {4-Hearts} {9-Hearts}

Gazes took the high half with his nut flush, and he grabbed half of the low pot as well. Bjorin's nut low was only worth one quarter of the pot, sending a hunk of much-needed chips over to Gazes.

Gazes - 38,000
Bjorin - 160,000
Ivey - 55,000

Wrong Man to Double Up

Phil Ivey - Ice Cold
Phil Ivey - Ice Cold
Phil Ivey raised to open the pot, and Chris Bjorin three-bet him. Ivey called and saw a flop of {4-Spades} {7-Spades} {K-Hearts}. Bjorin bet out, and Ivey called. Fourth street brought the {J-Diamonds}, and Bjorin fired again. Ivey raised this time, in doing so putting himself all in, and Bjorin put him to the test.

Showdown
Ivey: {J-Hearts} {J-Spades} {K-Spades} {10-Hearts}
Bjorin: {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {6-Hearts}

Ivey had the top half nearly locked up after catching his third-of-a-kind on fourth street. Needing to dodge only a non-spade ace or five to stay alive and a low card to scoop, Ivey found the {Q-Spades} on the river. He took down the full pot, doubling his way up to 110,000, now even with Bjorin.

Floor Floor

So we have two dramas on two different tables right now and the floor was called to deal with both.

Ted Lawson has been taking an awful long time over his decisions today and it's starting to rile his table as this is a Limit tournament where each decision should be easier to make. Daniel Negreanu started calling the clock and then asked the floor man to do something about it. Let's see if the fuss makes Lawson up the speed of his game.

On table Hellmuth the dealer drama continues. In trying to combat the previous problem where he wasn't releasing the deck properly he accidentally cut the deck twice, so could have theoretically put the cards back as they were. Ralph Perry mentioned this after Hellmuth had made an EP raise. The floor was called as Hellmuth thought the hand should be dead but as action had already been taken the hand had to continue. How much pressure is this dealer under right now?

Chau Down

Chau Giang - Out
Chau Giang - Out
Yueqi Zhu limped in from early position, then both he and Chau Giang called when Ben Boyd put in a raise.

Three-handed then, the flop came {J-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {3-Hearts}, and it checked around. The {7-Diamonds} hit the turn, and Giang led out into the pot. Zhu raised, Boyd folded, and Giang reraised all in. The river was the {Q-Hearts}.

Showdown
Zhu: {A-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {7-Spades} {9-Diamonds}
Giang: {2-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}

Zhu scooped up the full pot with the nut low and a pair of sevens. Chau Giang (who was seen furiously smoking a cigarette a few minutes ago) has been sent home early.
