David Baker Serves Up a Double Elimination; McNiff and Gerasimov Hit the Rail

From the cutoff Kirill Gerasimov open-shoved for 150,000 only to have Evan McNiff reship from the button for 350,000. From the big blind, David Baker called to put them both at risk.

Kirill Gerasimov - {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} (25%)
Evan McNiff - {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs} (25%)
David Baker - {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} (50%)

The flop came {A-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} giving McNiff the best hand with a pair of aces, but also opening the door for Kirill (any diamond would give him the nut flush).

Visibly upset after going from first to worst, Baker was left drawing to only two outs.

When the {Q-Spades} fell on the turn, he felt much better.

Baker needed to fade a diamond or a ten to take the pot, and when the {7-Spades} fell on the river, he successfully completed the double elimination of McNiff and Gerasimov.

David Baker - 1,530,000
Kirill Gerasimov - 32nd place ($0)
Evan McNiff - 31st place ($0)
