Float On

Had another blind-vs.-blind battle just happen on Table #143, this one perhaps a bit more interesting than that Lehr-Bonomo one.

In this one, the table folded to Ted Forrest who raised to 120,000 from the small blind, and Isaac Haxton called from the big blind. The flop came {A-Hearts}{6-Spades}{A-Clubs}. Forrest bet 100,000, and Haxton called. The turn was the {8-Clubs}. This time Forrest bet 200,000, and Haxton again called.

The river was the {9-Hearts}. Forrest instantly checked, and Haxton put out a bet of 425,000. Forrest tanked, then made the call. "Straight," said Haxton. "You have a straight?" said an incredulous Forrest. Indeed Haxton did, as he turned over {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

"I had a feeling you floated me twice," said Forrest. Haxton now has 3.09 million, while Forrest has 960,000.
