This Loaf Has Risen

Joe Serock raised to 5,000 before David Baker three-bet to 21,000. Serock then four-bet shoved all in and Baker called all in quickly with {A-Clubs} {K-Spades} and saw he was racing against {8-Spades} {8-Diamonds}.

The board ran {3-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {3-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {10-Hearts}. King on the flop good to see Baker up to 240,000 whereas Serock is short on 48,000.

Filtz Slips

Phil Ivey opened to 5,500 from the cutoff and with the action on Justin Filtz on the button, he made it 17,000 to go.

Ivey made the call and checked the {10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop to Filtz who opted to fire 21,000 at Ivey.

Having none of it, Ivey moved all in to put Filtz to a decision for his tournament life, and after mulling over it for a while he laid his hand down.

As Filtz slipped to 85,000, Ivey pushed over the 200,000 mark.

Gaspard Keeping It The Same

The Prince in action
The Prince in action
Jean 'Prince' Gaspard is someone that always stands out at a poker table.

Whether it be for his loud personality, bubbly demeanour or even his blinged out finger following his recent WSOP New Orleans Circuit victory.

But, just like yesterday, Gaspard is sticking to the things he knows best . . . the massage.

During his table shootout yesterday, Gaspard kept the same massage girl for the entire time he was playing . . . and it's no surprise that the same girl is back today!

Whether or not he's superstitious, or just likes things the same, Gaspard is giving it a crack at trying to add a bracelet to his circuit ring as he sits with an above average 185,000 in chips.

Jeffrey Frerichs Eliminated in 25th Place ($16,740)

With the action folded round to the blinds, Jeffrey Frerichs and Jonathan Heath got into a raising war to see Frerichs all in for his tournament life.

Frerichs: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Heath: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}

In a race situation to stay alive, the flop of {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{4-Spades} would be pretty much the best Frerichs could ask for.

When the {9-Hearts} dropped on the turn, all Frerichs would have to evade is any repeating card. However when the {9-Diamonds} peeled on the river he would exit the tournament in 25th place and collect $16,740 to aid the pain.

Hougaard Doubles

Lars Hougaard has managed to find a double through table chip leader Mark Teltscher.

Hougaard was in dominating shape holding {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} to Teltscher's {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}, and with all the money going in preflop the board ran out {K-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} to see Hougaard double to 260,000 as Teltscher slipped to his starting stack.

Jonathan Heath Eliminated in 24th Place ($16,740)

A huge pot just went down between the two chip leaders at this table. Fireworks started on the {10-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} flop between Jonathan Heath and Lex Veldhuis. Heath held {8-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} for a flopped flush and open-ended straight flush draw. Veldhuis held {A-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} for the nut flush draw.

The turn came {A-Hearts} before the river {5-Diamonds} sent the pot Veldhuis' way and eliminated Heath. Veldhuis has 620,000 chips now.
