Zimmerman Doubles Up

Jason Zimmerman has doubled up after moving all in from the big blind to a raise from small blind Josh Schlein.

Zimmerman: {A-Spades} {K-Clubs} {4-Spades} {10-Clubs}
Schlein: {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {7-Diamonds}

Board: {7-Spades} {5-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {Q-Hearts}

Zimmerman's up to 42,000, while Schlein drops to 112,000.

Danny Smith Falls to the Dank Position

Danny Smith might look back fondly on those moments a few hours ago when he was near the top of the counts. He's now in the Dank Position at the very bottom of the counts after a tangle with Jeff Tunkel. We only saw the board ({K-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {Q-Spades}) and Tunkel's hand, {A-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {7-?} {8-?}. His nut flush and seven-ace low were good to scoop both halves of the pot.

Smith's stack was decimated to just 13,000 chips.

Pescatori Checks the Nuts

Wow! There were five bets back and forth between Max Pescatori and CK Hua on the {K-Hearts} {8-Spades} {J-Diamonds} flop. Pescatori just check-called a bet from Hua on the {Q-Spades} turn, and both players checked the {10-Diamonds} river.

Pescatori turned over {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} and Hua mucked.

"You check with that hand?" said Hua incredulously. Well, it's late.

Hua: 140,000
Pescatori: 131,000

Count the Outs

Before the break, Mike Matusow was practically beside himself.

"Look at this flop," he said to the table at showdown. Matusow tabled {A-Spades} {2-Hearts} {4-Spades} {7-Diamonds} in a pot played four-ways to the river. The board showed {K-Spades} {6-Spades} {5-Hearts}. After the flop, Matusow had outs to the nut flush, the nut straight and the nut low. He wound up with just the nut low after the {7-Clubs} turn and {10-Hearts} river. Sirous Jamshidi got the high half with a seven straight, {4-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}.

Matusow is up to 130,000.

Play Resumes

Cards are back in the air. 38 players remain. Given that the next 20-minute break will fall at 2:33am local time, these should be the last two levels of the night.

There Was to be No Math

A three-way pot with two short stacks produced zero eliminations. Bill Coren was all in preflop and David Rabbi was all in after the {5-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {3-Spades} flop against Max Pescatori. Pescatori and Rabbi each flopped wheels: {A-Spades} {2-Spades} {4-Hearts} {7-Hearts} for Pescatori, {A-Hearts} {2-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {10-Spades} for Rabbi.

Coren, the shortest of the stacks in the hand, flopped two pair with {A-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {J-Spades}. He called for a four and got one with the {4-Spades} turn. The river {8-Clubs} completed the board, leaving the dealer the unenviable task of separating the pots.

Rabbi got three-quarters of the side pot with his wheel low and straight six. That left Pescatori with one-quarter of the side pot. The high half of the main pot was awarded to Coren; Rabbi and Pescatori each got one-quarter of the main pot for their wheel lows.

Counts after the hand:

Coren - 23,000
Rabbi - 48,000
Pescatori - 85,000
