George Lind was down to just 6,000 and he stuck it all in in early position. It folded right around to Meng La in the big blind who shrugged and called, and it was the end of the line for Lind.
Vanessa Selbst made it all the way through the Day 1 field, but fell ten places short of the money here on Day 2. She opened from under the gun with an all-in raise to 6,000. Pat Poels isolated with a late-position reraise to 9,000. Everyone else folded.
Selbst:
Poels:
A flop of left Selbst hoping for her low draw to come in. She missed the turn and the river. She's out, and Poels is up to 67,000.
We're only 10 places away from the money now, so we're expecting a little tightening up come the start of next level. Nevertheless, we have a lot of short stacks, so perhaps the carnage will be sooner in coming than we might expect.
Uh oh. It's not looking good for "The Eyes". John Juanda was the only caller after Adrienne Rowsome moved all in preflop for her last 7,300. Juanda showed down ; Rowsome turned up .
The flop of was grim news for Rowsome. It left her looking for a low card to take the low half of the pot or a jack for a scoop. The on the turn did not improve Rowsome's hand.
"Jack?" she asked the dealer. It's exactly what he delivered - the hit the river to give Rowsome the pot and double her up to 18,400. In the process, Juanda, broken to the table about an hour ago, was crippled to 5,000.
"Wow, John," said Mike Matusow. "You're running really well at this table!"
