David Chiu - 12th Place
David Chiu - 12th Place
Omaha-8

John Hanson raised from the button, David Chiu called all in from the small blind and Ville Wahlbeck came along from the big blind. Hanson and Wahlbeck checked down the {J-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {4-Spades} {7-Spades} {J-Spades} board.

Chiu turned up {K-Spades} {8-Spades} {3-Spades} {2-Hearts} for a king-high flush, but Wahlbeck had {7-Clubs} {7-Hearts} (X)(X) for a full house and sent Chiu to the rail in 12th place.

Dehkharghani On Life Support

Omaha-8

Ray Dehkharghani is now on the short stack after being forced out of an Omaha-8 pot by Vitaly Lunkin.

The board read {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and after Lunkin fired another bet on the river Dehkharghani gave it up to leave himself with just 70,000. Lunkin has 2.42 million.

Hanson vs. Hansen

Omaha-8

John Hanson raised from UTG and Gus Hansen called from the button. John led out on the {A-Spades} {7-Spades} {6-Spades} flop and Gus called. John bet the {Q-Spades} on the turn and Gus called. The river was the {4-Hearts} and both players checked.

John turned over {A-Clubs} {J-Spades} {8-Clubs} {2-Spades} for a 7-6-4-2-A low and a flush to scoop the pot. He's up to 1.8 million while Gus is down to 337,000.

When it Rains...

Down to less than one bet with only 37,000 in chips... David Chiu lost the race-off of the 1,000 chips to take his stack down to 35,000.

Action will be back underway momentarily.

David Chiu Off To Dinner...Just

Hold'em

David Chiu raised the button and Gus Hansen defended his big blind with a call.

The flop came down {9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and both players checked. The turn was the {A-Diamonds} and Hansen checked to Chiu who tossed out a bet. Hansen asked for a count and discovered that Chiu had only 37,000 behind, before he declared a raise.

Chiu went into the tank for several minutes into the dinner break before eventually finding a fold to leave himself crippled. Hansen raked in the chips but commented how surprised he was that Chiu would fold with so much in the middle to leave himself so short.

Either way both players are off to dinner, but you would think Gus Hansen will enjoy his dinner a little more than David Chiu.

Dehkharghani is fighting hard and now has himself back to 340,000.
