Bubble Watch

All eyes are currently on the short stacks of the field:

Steve Billirakis - 403,000
Frank Kassela - 275,000
John Kabbaj - 103,000

They are feeling the pressure as one mistake and it could all be over for these guys!

Hansen vs Hanson

Stud

Gus Hansen: (X-X) {Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs} (X)
John Hanson: (X-X) {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} (X)

John Hanson called, Gus Hansen raised and Hanson called once again. The Great Dane then led the betting on every street with Hanson calling him down the whole way.

Gus flipped {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{J-Spades} for a nine-high straight and Hanson mucked.

Both players are now at 1.2 million.

John Kabbaj Doubles Through Freddy Deeb

Stud-8

John Kabbaj ({A-Hearts})({2-Spades}){4-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {9-Spades} ({8-Diamonds})
Freddy Deeb ({J-Spades})({2-Diamonds}){J-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} (X)

We picked the hand up on fourth street with Freddy Deeb leading out and a short-stacked John Kabbaj making the call. The rest of Kabbaj's chips went in the middle on fifth street.

Kabbaj's pair of nines were trailing Deeb's jacks, but Kabbaj hit trips on sixth street with the {9-Spades}. Deeb couldn't catch another jack on the river and Kabbaj doubled up to 243,000.

Kassela Down to 81K

Omaha-8

Ray Dehkharghani raised from the cutoff, Vitaly Lunkin called from the small blind and Frank Kassela called from the big blind.

Lunkin and Kassela checked the {A-Spades} {8-Clubs} {4-Spades} flop over to Dehkharghani, who bet. Both players folded and Dehkharghani took the pot.

Kassela is now the tournament short stack at 81,000.

Guoga's Big Hand Only Good For Half

Tony G
Tony G
Stud-8

Tony G: (X-X) {5-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} (X)
Bach: (X-X) {3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{5-Spades} (X)

Tony G and David Bach have just chopped a Stud-8 hand. Guoga completed and Bach called before both checked fourth street.

On fifth Bach led out with a bet before Guoga raised. Bach called before check-raising on sixth. On the river Bach bet and it was Guoga's turn to raise. Bach made the call.

Tony G: {5-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} ({2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts})
Bach: {3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{5-Spades} ({9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades})

Guoga was unlucky not to scoop after tabling a six-high straight and six-five-four low. However Bach just snuck in for the low with his six-five-three low.

The players chop it up as Bach sits at 1.5 million and Guoga at 520,000.

Razz

Frank Kassela ({6-Diamonds})({8-Hearts}){5-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {9-Spades} {6-Spades} ({4-Spades})
Huck Seed (X)(X) {7-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}
Ray Dehkharghani ({3-Diamonds})({8-Spades}){7-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} ({6-Clubs})

Frank Kassela completed on third street, Huck Seed called and Ray Dehkharghani called behind him. Kassela led out on fourth street, Seed folded, Dehkharghani reraised, Kassela three-bet all in and Dehkharghani called.

Kassela turned over {6-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} for a draw to an 8-6 low, while Dehkharghani revealed {3-Diamonds} {8-Spades} for a draw to an 8-7. Kassela made a nine low on sixth street while Dehkharghani bricked with a jack, but paired his six on the river for a final hand of 8-6-5-4-3.

Dehkharghani squeezed...and squeezed...and squeezed his seventh street card, finally flipping up the {6-Clubs}, having made a 7-6-5-3-A low. Kassela was eliminated on the bubble and Dehkharghani took the pot.
