Hansen Does It His Way

Hold'em

Tony G opened with a raise from the hijack position and, ever the defender, Gus Hansen made the call in the big blind.

The flop landed {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Hansen led out with a bet. Guoga made the call.

The turn brought the {A-Diamonds} to provide a very pretty board as Hansen checked to Guoga who tossed out a bet. Hansen made the call.

On the {7-Hearts} river both players checked it down.

Guoga tabled {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} - just one suit away from a royal flush. Guoga didn't have a diamond, but Hansen did as he collected the pot with just {J-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.

Hansen is up to 1.56 million with Guoga down to 280,000.
