David Rabbi, Al "Sugar Bear" Barbieri and David Levi all got themselves involved in a hand. Sugar Bear completed with the showing, and Levy raised with the showing. Rabbi called, and so did Sugar Bear.
Sugar Bear bet out again on 4th street with now showing and Levy gave it up; Rabbi, however, called.
"I love you, so I'll check it," said Rabbi (we assume in an entirely platonic way), and indeed the two of them proceeded to check the hand down. They chopped, and Rabbi is perched on 18,000 while Sugar Bear is sprawled over a 93,000, chip-leading stack.
Sugar Bear: ( ) for a flush
Rabbi: ( ) for the low
Levi: and a fold
Hot former-chipleader-on-former-chipleader action, as Al "Sugar Bear" Barbieri and George Markakis clashed, taking EPT Copenhagen winner Tim Vance along with them for the ride.
Markakis was the bettor all the way, with Sugar Bear calling -- Vance called too, but ducked out of their way on 5th street.
What do you know -- a chop.
Sugar Bear: ( ) for a two-pair high
Markakis: ( ) for the low
Vance: -- then a fold
Messrs Al "Sugar Bear" Barbieri and George Markakis have both slipped a little from their earlier highs, and one Zak Gilbert has overtaken the both of them. He's our current chip leader on 92,000.
With one Mr Negreanu right by the rail, this tournament has been attracting an enormous crowd of railers, many of them taking Mr Negreanu away from his table periodically for photos and autographs and the like. Negreanu is being most accommodating to these fans -- and who wouldn't be, looking at the quality of the rail?
Steve Jelinek is in a spot of bother -- after an up and down sort of day he's down to 10,000 after calling bets from Jose Paz on every street in a three-way pot before folding on 7th.
Mr Paz, however, is doing just fine, as is Justin Bonomo -- the two of them chopped the pot to put Paz up to 35,000 and Bonomo up to 26,000.
Jelinek: (fold)
Paz: ( ) for the low
Bonomo: ( ) for the high
Andy Bloch had a player all in, but the lucky all-inner managed to chop the pot to save his tournament bacon. Nevertheless, Bloch is having an excellent time of it -- he's up to 73,000.
Bloch: ( ) for the low
Mr All In: ( ) for the high
