Marsters Beaten Down

Timothy Marsters found himself all in early, with Brian Swinford and Jack Rosenfeldt up against him.

Both other players made it to showdown, and Rosenfeldt mucked; Marsters mucked too with a violent gesture of just-busted steamage, and headed for the payout desk.

Marsters: {5-Spades} {2-Spades} {3-Spades} {7-Spades} (mucked in anger)
Rosenfeldt: {5-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {8-Spades} {K-Diamonds} (mucked with impassivity)
Swinford: {K-Spades} {10-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} ({K-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {8-Hearts})

Climber Falls Down

Climber Of The Day Simon Kearney is now sadly busted in 35th place.

"I'm very happy with it, I enjoyed the whole experience," he said (actually this was to a friend of his on the phone, apologies for eavesdropping Mr. Kearney).

Verrastro Reaches for the Stars

We have just had our 39th place finisher in the shape of Thuy Beltran -- meaning that Candace Verrastro is our last woman standing.

Short-stacked for most of the day, and uncomfortably seated to the left of overnight chip leader Allie Prescott, she has nevertheless managed to hang on in there, to the delight of her husband at the rail.

She's on 15,000 right now.

Kearney Earn-ies His Mearney

A most impressive comeback for Simon Kearney -- he's now up to 26,000 after doubling through Max Stern.

Kearny: {4-Spades} {5-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {2-Spades}
Stern: {3-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {A-Spades} {10-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}

Stern's still pretty comfortable on 73,500 though.

Average stack, by the by, is around 51,000.
