Mitchell On the Move

Will Mitchell
Will Mitchell
Will Mitchell raised before the flop, got reraised, then called. The flop came ten-high, Mitchell bet 3,000, his opponent raised to 10,000, Mitchell shoved all in for about twice that, and his opponent let it go.

Mitchell showed his pocket tens as he dragged the pot. He's back up to 35,000 now.

From the Feature Tables

A couple of chip count updates from over at the feature tables with our notable players progressing fairly smoothly with a little over one level left in the day...

Peter Eastgate: 47,000
Hien Tran: 43,600
Erick Lindgren: 35,500

Bald-Win!

With 4,500 in the pot, Bobby Baldwin check-raised the {3-Spades} {J-Hearts} {6-Spades} flop bet of 3,500 to 10,500 before moving in on the {7-Diamonds} turn. His opponent folded and Baldwin is up to 43,000.

Snead Snuffed Out by Racener

No deep run for Snead this year
No deep run for Snead this year
John Racener has just dispatched of two opponents; including Paul Snead.

With all the money going in on the flop of {10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Hearts} the players held the following hands.

Racener: {K-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Snead: {10-Spades}{6-Spades}
Opponent: {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}

The turn fell the {6-Hearts} to thrust Racener in the lead with a flush, but leave Snead outs to a fullhouse as the other opponent started packing his belongings.

The river would fall the {4-Spades} to now send Snead to the rail and Racener up to over 79,000 in chips.

The Truth

"The Truth" Paul Darden
"The Truth" Paul Darden
Paul Darden was all in preflop for 4,525 after working his way back up from the gutter of under 2,000 chips due to that crazy hand that happened just before the dinner break. He held {A-Spades} {K-Spades} against his opponent's pocket tens.

The board ran out {9-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {5-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {5-Clubs}, pairing Darden's king on the turn and putting him in the lead. He now has roughly 9,700 chips.

Raptor'D Outta Here

Bye Bye Benefield
Bye Bye Benefield
David Benefield pushed the last of his chips into the middle holding Ace-King on a board of {A-?}{A-?}{10-?} to be in great shape against his opponent's {A-?}{2-?}.

However when a deuce landed on the turn, followed by no improvement on the river for Benefield and he hit the rail.

Rousso Runs Into Set

Vanessa Rousso was in the middle of the action once again with a healthy pot in the middle and facing a bet of 4,000 on the turn. The board read {2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and after some deliberation and counting down chips, Rousso tossed in a call.

The river brought a dangerous looking {8-Diamonds} which slowed both players into a check.

Rousso's opponent flipped {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} for a set as Rousso tapped the table, saying she mucked a "big overpair". Rousso is back to 60,000.
