Salinaro Turns Up the Heat

Tom Koral raised it up preflop to 25,000 from late position and Mark Salinaro defended his big blind with a call. They saw a flop of {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Salinaro led out for 35,000. Koral thought for a moment before bumping it up to 100,000 to go. The action was back with Salinaro who announced he was all in. Koral gave it up and Solinaro took down a healthy pot without showdown to move up to 470,000 chips. Koral slips back to 285,000.

Ace-King No Good for Bartlema

Wolbert Bartlema raised to 26,000 and Sarang Ahuja pushed all in over the top. Bartlema called and showed {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}, which left him drawing very thin against Ahula's {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}.

When an ace failed to appear on the board, Bartlema made his way to the rail while Ahula scooped up the pot. He's now sitting with 450,000.

Dao Bac Springs Ahead

Paul Dominski raised to 25,000 from the cutoff and Dao Bac reraised all to 62,000 from the button. Dominski made the call and showed {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds} to dominate Bac's {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

A flop of {6-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} did nothing to help Bac's situation, but the {3-Spades} on the turn certainly did. Bac sealed the hand by rivering a full house with the {Q-Hearts}.

Bac now has 140,000 chips while Dominski is down to just 73,000.

Drilled Out

After a series of preflop raises, Nathan Drill was all in with his {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} going to war against Jerry Fowler’s {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}. Drill was hoping for a double up but the board didn’t oblige when it arrived {5-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} to give Fowler the pot and send Drill to the exit. Fowler is now up to 450,000 chips.

The Mighty Have Fallen

Jeremy Joseph has just eliminated overnight chip leader Victor Greeley. The chips were in preflop with Greeley looking for help holding {K-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} against the {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} of Joseph. The board landed {7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Spades}{A-Hearts} and Greeley headed to the rail sighing “The day one chip leader never wins...” He’ll collect $7,390 to ease his pain.

Kalb On Fire

Bob Quast moved all in for his last 92,000 from middle position with {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} but Jacob Kalb made the call with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and took down the pot when then the board fell {4-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

The giant-killing run of Kalb continues as he moves up to 900,000 chips.
