Mike "The Mouth" Matusow has been living up to his nickname and chatting it up nonstop today. He just had this to say about winning the WSOP Main Event.
"If I win the Main Event, and you can put this on record and hold me to it, I'll tip the dealers $1 million."
The remaining 99 players have all returned from their dinner break, well, almost all of them.
Daniel Negreanu has been absent for most of this tournament due to the fact that he is running deep in the $10,000 Stud World Championship. He has been blinded down to 3,300 chips.
Here are some more chips counts at the beginning the the level.
John Monnette - 28,000
Barry Greenstein - 24,000
Daniel Alaei - 21,000
Tom Schneider - 14,000
Eli Elezra - 12,000
Dutch Boyd - 9,000
David Grey - 9,000
Vanessa Rousso - 8,000
Ralph Perry - 6,000
Allen Cunningham - 3,000
Jennifer Harman busted shortly after returning from dinner. Phil Ivey said, "Thanks for playing at the World Series of Poker." with a smile as Harman packed up her stuff and headed to the rail.
Just before the dinner break, after winning the $100 from Erick Lindgren earlier by tossing a water bottle into the trash can, Greg Raymer had the C-note sitting on the table next to his chips. Raymer's mother came over to the table and asked, "Greg, why's there money on the table?"
Greg replied by telling her how he won the money from Erick on the bet.
Short and to the point, Raymer's mother looked at Erick and said, "Thanks for dinner, Erick."
David Grey raised to 900 from under the gun and Ralph Perry called from middle position. Grey stood pat while Perry drew one card. After the draw, both players checked.
Grey showed a ten-eight low for the winning hand and moved up to 17,000 chips.
