Representing Team PokerStars

Team PokerStars is well represented in today's event.

WSOP Champion Greg Raymer, WSOP Player of the Year Daniel Negreanu, Team Pro USA member Gavin Griffin and Team Pro Netherlands member Lex Veldhuis are all in the field.

George 'Jorj95' Lind and Sebastien 'Seb86' Sabic are both representing Team PokerStars Online.

Who Else Is Here?

Although the field is quite small, it is incredibly stacked with pros.

Mike Matusow, Lee Watkinson, Nam Le, Justin Bonomo, both Nick and Michael Binger, Huck Seed, Jean-Robert Bellande, Alexander Kostritsyn and Jeff Lisandro just the tip of the iceberg.

Some Interesting Tables

So far twenty-three tables are occupied at the moment and there are some interesting tables forming.

Over on table 303 we find Dario Alioto, Mike Wattel, Annette Obrestad and Lex Veldhuis while on table 286 we find Daniel Negreanu, Eric Baldwin and Mike Matusow battling it out.

How It Works

Unlike the 2-7 that was played in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship, today's event will play with a no limit structure and only be a single draw.

Each player begins with a 1,500-starting stack and will receive three additional add-ons each worth 1,000 in tournament chips.

At any time during the first four levels a player can take their add-on, but must have used them all by the beginning of the fifth level.

Also stated in the structure sheet is that the first player to enter the pot must open with a raise.

Time for someone to win another 2010 WSOP bracelet!

Welcome back to the 2010 World Series of Poker for Event #14: $1,500 2-7 Draw Lowball!

The corresponding event last year was a $2,500 buy-in and attracted a 147-player field with Phil Ivey beginning his magical run of six WSOP cashes, three final tables and two bracelets with a victory here for $96,367.

With the buy in being lowered to $1,500 and only one new event starting today, a larger field then last year is expected with many notable players expecting to take part such as Jeff Lisandro, Mike Matusow, Justin Smith, Daniel Negreanu and Annette Obrestad just to name a few.
