Ivey Gone

Stud 8/b:

The first major bracelet of the 2010 World Series of Poker will not be going to Phil Ivey. He's now busto at the hands of good friend Eli Elezra.

Catching the action on fourth, both players checked, before Ivey bet out on fifth following another check from Elezra. However Elezra sprung the check-raise with Ivey calling. On sixth, Ivey paired up and led out for the last of his chips with Elezra making the call.

Ivey: ({2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}) {6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Elezra: ({A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}) {2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

Ivey would need help to survive and found the {A-Spades} on the river to give him the lead for the low-half of the pot, but Elezra squeezed out the {6-Hearts} to improve to a better low to go with his ace-high flush to scoop the pot. Ivey is off to the cash games as Elezra now sits with 210,000 chips.
