Alexander Ivarsson Eliminated in 12th Place ($30,524)

Alexander Ivarsson - 12th Place
Alexander Ivarsson - 12th Place

Alexander Ivarsson was all in preflop for his tournament life and Joe Baldwin had him at risk.

Showdown
Ivarsson: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Baldwin: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

It was your classic race situation, and Ivarsson took an early lead after the flop fell {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Baldwin came storming around the bend passing Ivarsson when the {8-Hearts} turned however and crossed the finish line as the winner when the {6-Diamonds} rivered.

Ivarsson was eliminated in 12th place and will take home $30,524 while Baldwin is still alive and well with 1,275,000 chips.

Queen Solomon

Jarred "Queen" Solomon
Jarred "Queen" Solomon

Jarred Solomon opened from under the gun and Jeffrey "jpapola" Papola re-raised 95,000 more. Solomon moved all in for 386,000 and Papola snapped it off.

Showdown
Solomon: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Papola: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Solomon snatched the lead after binking a three-outer on the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop. Papola picked up some extra outs with the {10-Spades} on the turn, but the {4-Clubs} bricked on the river dropping him to 485,000 chips.

Solomon doubled to 875,000 chips thanks to the fortuitous flop.

Great Turn, Better River

Taurean Davis opened to 42,000 from under the gun and Jeffrey "jpapola" Papola called from the small blind.

Both players checked the {6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{k-Clubs} flop, and Papola led for 73,000 after the {8-Diamonds} turned. Davis called.

The dealer delivered the {2-Diamonds} on the river and Papola led again - this time for 130,000. Davis called but mucked after Papola opened {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a diamond flush.

Papola chipped up to 900,000 chips and Davis slipped to just 275,000.

Easy Eddy

Martins Adeniya opened to 48,000 from the cutoff and Eddy Scharf defended his big blind.

The flop fell {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and Scharf check-called 62,000 from Adeniya.

Both players checked after the {2-Spades} turned and Scharf slid out a tiny bet once the {4-Spades} rivered; 40,000. Adeniya tanked for a moment, chewing on some gum and eying up Scharf before raising to 160,000. Scharf immediately announced call and turned over {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

Adeniya stood up to verify Scharf's cards and then placed his own two in the muck.

Scharf increased his stack to 735,000 chips and Adeniya dropped down to 310,000.

¡Vamos!

On the flop of {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, Martins Adeniya flopped top pair with the {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} against the middle set of Javier Etayo with the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}.
