Ivey Runs into Rockets

Christoph Kwan raised from early position, and Phil Ivey was the lone caller, matching the extra bet from the big blind to see a flop.

It came out {6-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {J-Hearts}, and Ivey check-raised a Kwan bet. Kwan called, and the turn came the {K-Diamonds}. Ivey fired out the full bet, Kwan raised to two bets, and Ivey called. Mr. Ivey check-called one last bet on the {2-Spades} river.

Kwan showed up {A-Spades} {A-Hearts} for the overpair, and it was good. Ivey rechecked his cards, then checked them again and flung them high into the air and straight onto the muck. That slip moves him back to 50,400.
