Early Win For Kirk

Facing a raise from middle position to 150, Kirk Morrison made the call from the big blind.

"I'll give 'ya some action" he stated.

The dealer spread the {8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop with both players checking as the {7-Diamonds} peeled on the turn.

Morrison tossed in two black 100-denomination chips amounting to a bet of 200.

"I got two overs!" stated Morrsion's opponent before releasing his hand.

Morrison flashed the {9-Hearts} and took down the pot.

Top-Top For Sands

Facing a raise to 125, David Sands made the call as did the button and big blind to see a {J-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop fall.

Sands fired out 250 and was called in two spots before the {6-Clubs} landed on the turn and he continued with a 850-chip bet which saw one of his opponent's cards hit the muck.

The river landed the {7-Spades} and after some deliberation, Sands fired his third bullet of 1,250.

His opponent made a crying call flashing his {Q-Clubs} while mucking after seeing Sands table his {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} to collect the pot and move to 9,000 in chips.

Ouch! There Goes $1,500!

"S**t! God d**n it!" screamed a player as he leapt out of his chair.

Glancing over to the table we saw his {A-Hearts}{5-Spades} face up with the final board spread {4-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

Unfortunately his opponent held the nuts - or in other words {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} - to take down the whole pot and send the extremely upset player to the rail with his dark sunglasses, large hoodie, baseball cap and iPod in tow.

Morrison Rivered

With 750 in the pot and the flop spread {4-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{9-Hearts} Kirk Morrison led out for 200 and was quickly raised to 800.

Morrison thought for a little before announcing raise and tossing in an additional yellow 1,000 denomination chip amounting to a raise of 1,800.

His opponent slid in a stack of chips amounting to over 5,500 and Morrison made the call for his remaining 2,300.

Morrison: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Opponent: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

With Morrison in great shape to double up, he would see the {3-Spades} fall on the turn - but like in a previous $1,500 event - his opponent would river a bigger set when the {K-Spades} dinged on the river to send Morrison crashing to the rail.

Don't Mess with Baron

With the board reading {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, Isaac Baron opened the pot with a 525-chip bet on the button. In middle position, Mark Kroon popped it to 1,775 and Baron went all in for an additional 2,175 chips.

Kroon tanked and eventually folded before saying, "nice bet."

Kings-Up For Cada

On a board of {5-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, Joe Cada fired out 375 and was check-called by an opponent.

The river delivered the {4-Spades} and after being checked to once again, Cada tossed in a yellow 1,000 denomination chip while also announcing a bet of 800.

His opponent quickly called, only to muck at the sight of Cada's {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} to see the 2009 WSOP Champion climb up to 3,400 in chips.

Speaking to Jared Hamby, he gave us some details on the recent elimination of Andrew Black.

Black opened to 250 and Hamby made the call to see a {Q-}{10-}{9-} rainbow flop fall down with Black firing out 500. Hamby clicked it back to 1,000 only to have Black move all in for 4,400 total.

Hamby made the call tabling his {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} to be ahead of Black's {A-}{J-}.

The turn landed the {A-} and river the {6-} to see Black hit the rail and Hamby climb to 10,000 in chips.
