Sands Flush'd

After a preflop raising war, Dave Sands found himself having an opponent all in for their tournament life.

Sands: {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Opponent: {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs} to see the all in player make a flush.

Unfortunately however he didn't realise this and began to exit the tournament only to have John Phan point out to the exiting player and the dealer that he had made a flush to stay alive.

Sands - who was a little unhappy with what had unfolded - slipped down to 19,000 in chips.

Bolotin Squeezes

Following a limp under the gun and from the button, as well as a complete from the small blind, Alex Bolotin pushed out a stack of chips amounting to a raise of 8,600.

The under the gun limper took his time before folding as the remaining two players quickly passed to see Bolotin pushed the pot to move to over 14,000 in chips.

Allen Finds Rivered Ace

On a flop of {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and facing a 5,400-chip bet, Ryan Allen moved all in for 25,800 and was called by the preflop aggressor.

Allen: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Opponent: {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

With Allen needing to spike a heart, ace or running cards for a straight, the {8-Spades} on the turn changed little.

Fortunately for Allen the {A-Clubs} peeled on the river to see him double through to 61,000 in chips.

Jordanou Gone

Australian high-stakes player Bill Jordanou just came over to the PokerNews blogging desk to give us some details on his elimination.

Having a stack of roughly 22,000 and facing a raise before him, Jordanou three-bet only to have his opponent four-bet all in.

Jordanou snap-called holding {A-}{A-} to be in great shape against his opponent's {10-}{10-}, but unfortunately for Jordanou the board would drop a ten to end his tournament prematurely.

Matt Stout - 32,000
Nichoel Peppe - 31,000

Jaka Slips

On a flop of {5-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} Faraz Jaka had his opponent all in for a pot of roughly 55,000.

Jaka: {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}

With Jaka needing to hit one of his two-pair or trips out or a heart to make a flush, the {7-Spades} would fall on the turn to put him in the lead.

Unfortunately for Jaka, the river landed the {10-Spades} to see his two-pair counterfeited as he slipped to just 7,800 in chips.

Eights Good for Oliveira

Carlos Oliveira
Carlos Oliveira

Carlos Oliveira ended up all in on the {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop and was called.

Oliveira tabled pocket eights and his opponent tabled ace high; according to Oliveira's words.

The turn card was a {2-Spades} and the river brought another deuce to see Oliveira move to 24,000 chips.

Leah Slips

On a board of {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{K-Spades}{8-Spades} Mike Leah fired out a bet only to be shoved on.

After some deliberation, Leah made the call tabling his {3-Spades}{2-Spades} to be up against his opponent's {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}.

The river landed the {10-Diamonds} to see his opponent double up while sending Leah down to 18,000 in chips.

Dwan Dusted

Tom Dwan

Tom Dwan is currently in the midst of playing three tournaments.

Rushing back to Event #30 during a dinner break he pushed his 11,000-chip stack with {J-}{8-} and picked up the blinds and antes, before doing it on the very next hand with {10-}{4-}.

This time however he got a call from an opponent holding {Q-}{8-}, and when a queen landed on the river, Dwan vacated his seat and headed straight to Event #31: $1,500 H.O.R.S.E.
