Table of Death

Chad Batista
Chad Batista

Usually we talk about Tables of Death at the beginning of the day, because obviously the tables get tougher as the field whittles down.

Table 12 is worth mentioning however.

Seat 1: Christian Iacobellis
Seat 2: Toto Leonidas
Seat 3: Chad Batista
Seat 4: Praz Bansi
Seat 5: Bryn Kenney
Seat 6: Phil Ivey

In a recent hand, Kenney opened to 2,200 in middle position, Ivey flatted in the cutoff and Leonidas defended his big blind.

The flop fell {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

Leonidas checked, Kenney continued for 3,700 and Ivey was his only caller. Both players checked the {4-Diamonds} on the turn.

The river brought the {2-Spades} and Kenney led for 4,800. Ivey graced him with his classic stare and eventually made the call.

Kenney opened {j-Spades}{8-Spades} and Ivey showed something damn similar; {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. The two chopped.

This is most likely the first of many sick battles between these five players.
