Thomas Shows Matusow Nut-Nut

Amanda Thomas
Amanda Thomas

Mike Matusow limped from middle position before Mandy Thomas limped the button. Tony Cousineau was in the big blind and checked his option making for three-handed action to the flop. The flop came down {J-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Cousineau checked. Matusow bet 4,800 and Thomas made the call. Cousineau ducked out of the way.

The turn brought the {2-Hearts} and made the board eligible for a low. Matusow and Thomas both checked.

The river completed the board with the {7-Clubs} and Matusow fired 6,000. Thomas jacked it up to 15,500 and Matusow made the call.

Thomas showed Matusow the {A-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for the nut low and the nut straight, also known as "Nut-nut, baby!" if Scotty Nguyen were here. Matusow mucked his hand and dropped to 38,300 in chips. Thomas moved up to over 140,000 in chips.
