Big Blind:
The big blind saw Fitoussi's two pair with nut low and fretted for a moment, thinking his hand was no good. He then realized he had a higher two pair to take the high end. Fitoussi looked frustrated but commented, "Could be worse." Fitoussi is sitting with around 30,000.
Catching the action on fifth street, Erik Seidel led the betting with a pair on board but that didn't deter his opponent from raising it up. This forced a fold from Cyndy Violette, as Seidel made the call.
On sixth, Seidel put in a check-raise which got his opponent thinking. He eventually made the call but then folded to the river bet from Seidel.
Daniel Negreanu was in early position and raised to 800. Action folded around to the big blind, who decided to call.
The flop came down and the big blind checked. Negreanu wasted little time in throwing out a bet and the big blind mucked. Negreanu took down the small pot and is sitting with nearly 33,000.
He'll have his work cut out for him though, as his table is currently home to Greg Raymer, Justin Bonomo and Max Pescatori.
Phil Ivey completed the betting with Perry Friedman making the call. Ivey led on fourth before Friedman took the lead on fifth and sixth. Both players checked it down on seventh.
Ivey: () /
Friedman: (-X-X) /
Friedman flashed a queen as he said he missed, giving the pot to Ivey with just a pair of nines. Ivey is up to 33,500 with Friedman back to 29,000.
On a flop, Seat 8 checked from the small blind and Phil Galfond from the big. Chau Giang, who was last to act, bet and both blinds made the call.
The betting was the exact same on both the turn and river. Giang then turned over for the nut flush and Seat 9 showed for an 8-7-5-4-A low. Galfond mucked and let the two chop the pot.
Giang is up to around 38,000 while Galfond is down to 28,800.
Filippi completed on third street and only Lindgren made the call. Lindgren was first to act on fourth and he promptly bet. Filippi called and both received a nine on fifth street.
Lindgren was first and he bet. Filippi gave it some thought before grabbing his board and tossing it into the muck. After the hand, Lindgren was up to 24,000 while Filippi dropped to around 28,000.
Robert Mizrachi completed, before James Van Alstyne put in a raise. Mizrachi made the call and then caught better on fourth street to lead out. Van Alstyne called and then again on fifth, before taking control on sixth. On the river, Van Alstyne fired out one last bet but Mizrachi folded.
Scotty Nguyen just payed a visit to Table #298 where he appeared to settle a bet with Erik Seidel. Scotty payed the man and added, "You know, baby, you're the only one I'm happy to pay, because I know I'm gonna get it back."
