Tommy Le Eliminated

Tommy Le has been shown the door for Event No. 5. When action came to Le on the button, the big blind was the only player still involved. Le raised to 250 and his opponent re-raised to 2,000, putting Le all in if he were to call, which he did.

Le: {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Big blind: {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

Le was ahead heading to the flop which came {a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Le couldn't catch any outs on the thru {9-Spades} or river {a-Hearts}.

So Long Lex

Lex Veldhuis was down to just 1,400 when he lost a race with {10-}{10-} against {a-}{k-}. Not too long afterwards he shoved all in with {a-}{q-} and was called by a player holding {q-}{q-}. Veldhuis could not catch any cards to help him out and left shortly before the break.

Nice Call Mr. Gracz

With the board reading {5-Spades}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Clubs} Gracz, on the button, saw the small blind bet out 1,500.

Gracz considered his action and decided to make the call. It ended up being the right call, and Gracz is off to a hot start.

Showdown:

Opponent: {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Gracz: {A-}{Q-}

Gracz is now up to 19,000 chips.

The Pavilion is No Longer Ivey's Room

Phil Ivey is one of a string of eliminations leading up to the first break. His elimination came down when he raised preflop, getting called by the big blind.

The flop was a rainbow {10-}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. The big blind check-called Ivey's bet of 450 as well as Ivey's all-in bet of 1,300 when another club came on the turn.

Ivey: {q-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The {6-} on the river was no help to Ivey, who will surely be quickly signing up to play another event.

Timoshenko Not Looking Jovial

Yevgeniy Timoshenko responded to an early-position raiser with a re-raise to 900. When action folded to his opponent, who moved all in for about 2,500 more, Timoshenko called.

Timoshenko: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Opponent: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The board couldn't get Timoshenko out of the woods when it came {5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and the 2009 World Championship of Online Poker winner is down to about 2,000 in chips.

Pelton Doubles Up

Joe Pelton, the winner of the 2006 WPT Legends of Poker just doubled up through an unknown opponent.

PokerNews caught up with the action on the turn with a board reading {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. When action was checked to Pelton, he bet 1,350. His oppoent then raised to 3,050 and Pelton three-bet, putting himself all in. His opponent called and the cards were turned face-up.

Pelton: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Perhaps not fully understanding the position he was in, Pelton's opponent asked the dealer for "a king or a jack." Either way, the {a-Hearts} on the river was enough for Pelton to double up through the hand.
