Day 3 Started

Giant Day 3 about to Kick Off

Good morning! It may be nearly 3:00 p.m., but it's best to stick with morning since we're in for a long haul today. In a few minutes, 31 players will return with their eyes on one prize - a WSOP bracelet (and $508,090). Robert Mizrachi will sit down with a big chip lead, but he's got a tough field all looking to take the top spot away from him. Kevin Boudreau is in second, followed by Jose Nacho Barbero, who came straight to Las Vegas after winning his second LAPT in a row.

Ran Azor, Benny Spindler, Ryan "G0lfa" D'Angelo, and Jason Mercier are also in the top ten. Josh Tieman and Ayaz Mahmood would love to earn their second bracelets of the summer, and Eric "p3achy_keen" Liu, Justin "Boosted J" Smith, Joe Serock, and Di "urindanger" Dang would all be happy with number one.

It's PLO, so today promises to be all drama all the time. Buckle up and deal!

Shuffle Up and Bust!

Cards are in the air, but they weren't under way for long before several players were back out in the hall.

Ryan D'Angelo raised to 26,000 from middle position, and from the small blind, Alan Reyf moved all in. G0lfa called to put him at risk.

Reyf: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}
D'Angelo: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

The board came {k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, and D'Angelo's aces held to eliminate Reyf. D'Angelo is up to 375,000.

Chip to My Liu

Robert Mizrachi potted in mid position and David Iammarino called on the button. Eric Liu in the small blind, however, re-potted. Mizrachi folded, But Iammarino called.

They saw a {q-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{j-Spades} flop and Liu ominously asked the dealer, "How much is pot?" It turned out that the pot was slightly larger than Liu's remaining stack, so he went all in. Iammarino folded, giggling, but there's not much to laugh about - he's down to 150,000, while Liu is all smiles on 465,000.
