Dave "Doc" Sands raised to 3,300 from the cutoff seat and Ben Zamani called from the big blind. The flop came down and Zamani check-called a bet of 4,800 from Sands.
The turn brought the and both players checked before seeing the fall on the river. Zamani check-called a bet of 8,400 from Sands, who announced two pair. Zamani tabled the for a straight and scooped the pot to move back to 100,000 in chips. Sands dropped a little bit, but still has 360,000.
With the board reading on the river, Alexander Roumeliotis checked from the big blind, John Duthie bet 20,000, Phil Ivey called, and Roumeliotis raised to 105,000. Duthie folded and after a bit of a tank, Ivey let his hand go as well.
Gavin Smith unfortunately won't be winning his second bracelet of the summer in this event. He just made his exit after his failed to improve against his opponent's pocket kings.
